I always have a reason to Relay…A reason to fight back against cancer….but this year I want to dedicate my reason to Relay to a client and dear friend Lori. She emailed me and told me that she wanted a photo session with her and her grandsons because she was going to be starting Chemo in 2 weeks. When I read that I didn’t care how busy my schedule was, I found a way to fit her in. She is only in her 40’s and was diagnosed with Breast Cancer – a VERY aggressive breast cancer.

She is the most beautiful person inside and out. She works for the American Cancer Society and knows the struggles that cancer patients face. She is soft spoken, but strong. She has raised a beautiful daughter – Stephanie, and now has 2 sweet little grandsons. Below are a few images from her session.

My team, with Heart of the Shepherd Lutheran Church, will be doing our 24 our relay for the American Cancer Society next weekend at the Fowlerville Fair site (September 25th & 26th). At our site we will be offering kids games, kids crafts, & face painting throughout the 24 hour period. There are many other teams that will also be there offering fun activities.
